Some Thoughts On Vaping And Snowboarding

I hit up the local mountain just a short drive from where I live and decided to, somewhat unsurprisingly, bring a couple of e-cigs with me. I brought a standard rechargeable Blu e-cig, not the new MyBlu which I’ve also tried, and a Juul – both of which were loaded up with minty e-juice flavors.

Last year, I hit the slopes with a pack of smokes in my pocket, but this year, having switched from chain smoker to full-time vaper, I obviously decided to forgo the pack and opt for the e-cigs, making sure to bring two in case one died or got lost. Here’s how things differed from years prior as a smoker on the slopes.

Vaping is, from my perspective as a vaper, much easier on the lungs, throat, mouth, and the respiratory system in general. While I’d huff and puff quite a bit, cough here and there, in my days as a smoker, it was much-much easier to be vaping up there instead of smoking. I found myself able to catch my breath quicker, which was a nice change of pace from recent years. And I also found it a lot easier to get my nic fix while as there wasn’t any need to fiddle around with a lighter (quite difficult at times when wearing gloves) or worry of whether or not it was going to stay lit. Take a puff, put it away. Simple as that. Lovely in comparison.

All in all, it was a nice time on the mountain. Got some exercise, saw some incredible views, and of course, got to enjoy the fresh powder that the third nor’easter of the year dumped up here in the mountains of New England. And in a way, best of all, my lungs weren’t feeling depleted and wrecked by day’s end, but rather much the opposite. I literally woke up the morning after feeling good, great even. My lungs seemed to have gotten their fair share of exercise and without the cigarette smoke to dampen their productivity, felt like they were working better than before. What a relief. I can actually vape and still remain active, something that I was struggling with while living my life at the end of a cigarette.

Vapes for days. Cigarettes suck. That’s my thoughts on the matter.
